Hey guys!

I’m sorry it’s been a while since I’ve actually posted anything, but my birthday was on the 23rd of September and I was so busy with prepping for it! Now I’m prepping for uni but I really wanted to do a post for you guys.

Now, somehow I’ve made it into a tradition to custom make the jacket part of my birthday outfits. Being someone who wears hijab (headscarf), I find it so hard to find glam outfits that also deliver on coverage and modesty – so instead I just make my own for a fraction of the price. This gives me the ability to tailor it to my body shape and be flexible with the customisation.

Crazily, my outfit fitted into my whole ‘Sepia’ theme, which is more or less the colour of my outfit – a burnt orange.

Prior to sewing (this still needed more cutting)

The response for this jacket was EPIC, but it wasn’t as epic as my last birthday outfit, which was more neutral.

I’m going to show you a few photos I took with this year’s birthday outfit along with last year’s outfit too. I wanted to go for something different that’s not been done that much before, incorporating my Asian roots into the outfit.

Hope you like it:

And here is last year’s outfit:

I hope you guys enjoyed the extra behind the scenes of making my jacket!

Here’s the rest of the deets for this years outfit:

  • Top – Zara
  • Trousers – H&M
  • Shoes – Missguided
  • Hijab – market stall
